The Cheadle Village Partnership is seeking to hear the views of local businesses, as it looks to prepare an application to secure funding from the government’s Towns Fund scheme.
The application to the fund is being prepared by the Cheadle Towns Fund Board, and hopes to secure up to £25 million from central government to invest in the town’s economic development, including a proposal for a new station to be built in the town.
Cheadle Village Partnership is conducting an online survey on behalf of the Towns Fund Board and Stockport Council, in order to gather the views of the local community on areas they feel in need of investment. The partnership is now seeking more local businesses to complete the survey to share their views and ensure a wide range of participants in the research.
The survey is seeking the views of residents, workers, visitors, businesses and all organisations in the Cheadle area. The majority of the questions are general but there are a few specific questions on a new railway station, as this is possibly a long term opportunity.
The online research is being conducted by Marple-based DJS Research, and is available online here. It should only take a few minutes to complete.
