Life Leisure have organised a charity football tournament in honour of former employee, Martin Harriman who passed away in 2019.
The six-a-side football tournament will take place at Life Leisure’s Stockport Sports Village on Monday 29th January, between 7pm and 10pm to raise money for charity, Stroke Association.
Martin Harriman, a dad-of-four from Stockport, worked at Life Leisure for 23 years. He started his career in the leisure industry as a lifeguard, working his way up and eventually becoming Group Operations Director at Stockport’s Life Leisure. He sadly passed away in May 2019.
Martin was posthumously awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the company’s annual employee awards in December, in honour of his dedication to the business, his unwavering support of colleagues, and passion to help Stockport residents.
Entry to the football tournament costs £40 per team, with all proceeds supporting charity, Stroke Association, and Stepping Hill Hospital’s intensive care facilities. Teams can be entered by contacting Life Leisure’s Stockport Sports Village.
Attendance for the spectators is welcomed, and any donations can be made through a dedicated Just Giving page. There will also be a raffle on the night, and Life Leisure are looking for any donations of prizes.
