Insurance software company CDL has been granted planning permission from Stockport Council to build a 100,000 sq ft office campus at King’s Reach.
CDL bought the 4.5-acre site off Seddon Developments next to its current Strata House headquarters in Kings Reach, where it has been based since 2006.
The campus will contain four buildings. The first phase, a 30,000 sq ft office, will start on site early in 2013.
CDL, which employs 400 people, provides software for search engines on price-comparison websites and financial retailers such as Hastings Direct, Tesco Bank, Compare the Market and Go Compare.
Tom Hogg, managing director, said: “CDL has been based in Stockport for 35 years and it is important to us that our expansion benefits the local area. Technology is increasingly vital to the distribution of insurance products, and the fast growth of the telematics and mobile sectors means that this is the time to ensure we have the capacity to expand and create new jobs for the future.”
The scheme was designed by Edge Architects. CoreM is managing the delivery of the development project for CDL. For further information contact SMBC
