Stockport based Insurance software house, CDL, has appointed Luke Anyon to the role of Telematics Business Manager, where he will take strategic ownership of CDL’s market leading position in the expanding field of telematics solutions.
In his new role, Luke will drive the development process forward to ensure that CDL’s telematics proposition continues to meet the future requirements of its customers. This includes pursuing new lines of business linking to the company’s current research and development project to design a home insurance solution based on connected home technology.
The position involves responsibility for work being carried out to integrate selected Telematics Service Providers (TSPs) with the CDL Telematics Hub and offer customers a range of telematics services.
Commenting on the appointment, CDL Managing Director, Gary Johnson, said:
“Having joined the company in 2007, Luke has played an important role in numerous exciting projects, including CDL’s first venture into the field with Coverbox.
“He has a great track record in managing smooth and efficient implementations and I am delighted to confirm Luke’s appointment as CDL Telematics Business Manager. I have complete confidence that our telematics offering will continue to go from strength to strength under his leadership.”
Luke (left) added:
“Telematics for cars is clearly the future and it’s exciting to see how this model is being transferred to other areas, such as home insurance. The connected home is fast becoming a reality, with a range of enabling devices now already out there and growing consumer interest. Like with driving habits, insurers will soon have access to real data on how households operate, and be able to provide more accurate quotes and discounted premiums accordingly.
“At CDL we’re already exploring how this data could change the nature of home insurance, and I’m hugely excited by the opportunities this will bring alongside our current work with TSPs for motor.”
Luke has held a range of positions at CDL. Previously, he worked as Senior Client Implementation Manager, and brings expertise in Professional Services and client relations, as well as software technology, to the post.
