C&C Insurance Brokers are to sponsor newly promoted Romiley Cricket Club for the 2017 season.
As well as branding on the kit and around the ground, Romiley based C&C Insurance Brokers will also get use of the excellent clubhouse and facilities at the Romiley Cricket Club.
Managing Director Malcolm Cooke commented
“We have supported Romiley Cricket Club in the past but wanted to take this to the next level in 2017. The cricket club is at the heart of the community here in Romiley and we are confident that this investment will see the club go from strength to strength. The club also hosts a number of entertainment evenings to raise funds and I can think of no better way to spend a sunny Friday evening! I am eager to hear about the clubs successes and seeing them in their branded kit.
“As well as providing the financial and community support to the club, C&C Insurance Brokers will also be employing Romiley’s Australian player for the year, Mohan D’Souza, for the duration of the season. Not only will this help Mohan settle in, but will also help C&C remain fully immersed in the club for the 2017 season, one we are all hoping is very successful.”
Mick Rowe, the Chairman of Romiley Cricket Club, also had positive things to say about the partnership:
“I am delighted that one of Romiley’s biggest and best known companies has demonstrated its dedication to local sport by sponsoring Romiley Cricket Club. We hope our exciting new partnership will provide much needed help in supporting the future of cricket in Romiley. The value of such a sponsorship simply cannot be underestimated in these expensive times and is the life blood of small sports clubs like ours.”
The season kicked off 22nd April and will run every Saturday, with bumper midweek Twenty20 Cup matches to run during the long evenings throughout the summer.
