Two businesswomen from have been shortlisted as finalists in the north west’s most popular female business awards.
Helen Provart, from Marketing Stockport member Peak Translations, is hoping to win the Small Business of the Year Award at the Enterprise Vision Awards (EVAs).
Lucy Rennie, who runs Lucy Rennie Communications, is hoping to scoop the Solo Business of the Year Award.
Helen and Lucy, who both live in Whaley Bridge, faced a panel of judges where they were each asked to present their business and then had to answer a round of questions.
Helen said: “It is such an honour to have been selected as a finalist, both for me and the team here at Peak Translations.
“Having taken over the company in 2014, I have been working on the strategic management of the business in order to grow but also to promote the importance of languages particularly in international business communications.
“To now be recognised for the steps that have been taken and the growth the company has already experienced is an amazing achievement.
“The whole team will be attending the awards ceremony, which we are very excited about and it will be great to join Lucy as well, who has become a valued associate and great friend of the company.”
The winners will be announced on Friday, September 23, at an awards ceremony held at Blackpool Winter Gardens.
Lucy added: “I am absolutely thrilled to be named as a finalist.
“Working hard to ensure that my customers can understand the true value and importance of strategic communications planning is my real passion and having such a great portfolio of clients including Helen and the team at Peak Translations means that I really do love my work.
“I am looking forward to the awards ceremony and being able to celebrate our respective achievements together.”
