A greetings card and wrap company are flourishing thanks to a 10 session business growth programme designed to help businesses realise their growth potential.
Like many small and developing businesses, growth can be stunted when the owners and senior management team are working ‘in’ the business rather than ‘on’ the business.
Paper Salad’s owners, Claire Williams and Karen Wilson, are first and foremost designers. But, familiar to many emerging business owners, Clare and Karen were taking on multiple roles – HR, book-keeping, sales & marketing – all of which were equally unfamiliar to two designers.
Hallidays Business AM – BAM – business growth programme provided Claire and Karen with a step-by-step guide for growth which enabled them to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence for taking the business forward.
Hallidays managing director Nigel Bennett, who delivers the business programme, explains: “When we were introduced to Paper Salad, I was really impressed with the quality and standard of their designs. They were already selling to some High Street names but had hit a wall in terms of future growth.
“Over the course of our growth programme, they have realised a long-term vision for the business, formulated a business plan & strategy and developed their leadership skills.”
Paper salad, who last year won a top industry award for the quality of their designs, have also invested in building a team of experts to help them grow.
Claire said: “Attending Business AM provided us with all the tools we needed to grow our business in a way that was right for us and our team.
“It’s an ongoing processs and as we continue to grow we’ll re-use these tools to ensure our team and our systems evolve to drive our business forward.”
The next Business AM programme starts in September – Setting your goals, defining your vision – followed in November by – Remove barriers to your success.
