Bramhall based travel company, The Inspire Group, has been named as finalists in two categories at the Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards.
The group has been shortlisted for the prizes of Call Centre Agency of the Year and Leisure Agent of the year in a prestigious industry awards that have celebrated the travel sector for over 25 years.
After the Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards (AAAs) were postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic, this year’s winners will be announced at a black-tie event at London’s Park Plaza Westminster Bridge on 16th September 2021 at the end of a challenging 18 months for the sector.
The Bramhall travel company has a 25-strong call centre team which has been named as one of the six finalists in the category Call Centre Agency of the Year, and handles hundreds of calls a day from customers either making travel bookings or calling for travel advice and guidance. Given the backdrop of the pandemic, The Inspire Group team has had to work remotely over the past 16 months and Peter Pantelides, Inspire’s Group CEO, says that if there was ever a time when this award was so richly deserved, it is this year. He said:
To have achieved two finalist positions in this year’s Travel Weekly AAA Awards is a massive achievement for us as a business, and a fantastic reflection of the team’s efforts. With the constant changes that have taken place across international travel during the pandemic, and the ever-changing traffic light system, the call centre team has had to cope with a massive workload in rearranging and rebooking customers’ travel plans and has truly gone above and beyond in making sure our customers feel cared for and looked after. This recognition is much deserved.
“Emma only recently joined us a travel homeworker and is an outstanding travel professional. Being named as one of the eight finalists as Leisure Agent of the Year in these highly coveted awards demonstrates her outstanding qualities as a travel agent and we feel honoured to have her as part of our team.
“I am so proud of what we have achieved as a team and my heart-felt thanks go to all my colleagues for all their continued support and commitment.”
Lucy Huxley, editor-in-chief of Travel Weekly Group, added:
We are fully aware that every single travel agent is worthy of recognition for their efforts over the past 18 months, but we felt the AAAs gave us the perfect platform to celebrate the amazing businesses and individuals that make up our incredible industry. The process of selecting our shortlists was an enormously difficult task, such was the volume and standard of nominations we received. I look forward to welcoming the industry to London as we honour our own heroes of the pandemic.”
