
Stockport based Booth Ainsworth have come out winners at the Didsbury Business Games which raised over £14,000 for the Christie.
The team from Booth Ainsworth are celebrating after taking the winning trophy home at the 2018 Didsbury Business Games.
The Competition was set up last year to connect local businesses and encourage employees to take part in fun events to raise money for the Christie.
The fiercely competitive contest took place over six weeks and saw 11 teams compete throughout a series of activities to win the trophy.
Booth Ainsworth put in a strong performance through-out the games coming within the top three for every challenge which included ten pin bowling, a sports day and a cocktail making challenge. Everything was hanging on the finale quiz night but the team of eggheads romped to victory playing the joker card and winning the overall competition
The firm raised £2,000 within a total amount of £14,310 for the Christie and their Proton Beam Therapy Centre which is an advanced form of radiotherapy used for the treatment of complex and hard-to-treat cancers.
Business services senior at Booth Ainsworth and committee member of the Didsbury Business Games, Anita Holmes said:
“Everyone who took part had a great time and is keen to support the games next year to defend the title.
Our fundraising in the office worked well with Booth Ainsworth hosting a cake day, sweepstakes and email bingo.”
