The Manager of Stockport’s Business Improvement District (BID), Totally Stockport, is leaving after 6 years in the role.
Paul Taylor, who along with fellow Directors at Vision Stockport was instrumental in establishing a BID in Stockport, is leaving his position to concentrate on his broadcast, marketing and events businesses.
Over his time as BID Manager Paul has been responsible for overseeing projects such as Stockport’s now renowned Frogs Art Trail, the installation of Town centre Wi-Fi, the 3-day Food and Drink festival, the Town centre business radio scheme, Comic Con and a number of high-profile, visitor events.
Commenting on his decision to leave Taylor said:
“It has been an amazing 6 years with Totally Stockport and, as a BID, we have achieved such a huge amount during a period of enormous change in the Town Centre. I will miss our amazing small team of brilliant people who I have had the pleasure of working with. Now we are free from the constraints imposed by Covid, I’m looking forward to concentrating on my events business.
“I wish the BID team the very best for the future and will be championing all that is great in Stockport, every day on Strawberry Radio.”
Paul will manage the current Frogs 23’ project – this summer’s town centre art trail – until the end of September. In the meantime, other duties will be picked up by members of the board.
Totally Stockport will shortly begin the task of recruiting for a new Business improvement District Manager, with further information published on the Totally Stockport website.
