Bernard, Left) a keen cyclist, said:
“‘I decided to get back onto the saddle after to help raise some seriously needed funds for worthwhile charities.’ He added, ‘I have been overwhelmed by the support and generosity and wish to thank everyone who has sponsored me”.
The challenge began on Monday at the spectacular lakeside in Geneva where the team set off en route to cover 120 kilometres a day and climb twice the height of Everest in 4 days; Bernard will arrive in Nice tomorrow, Friday 19 June.
