Bennett Verby has been highly commended at the North West regional final of the National Apprenticeship Awards 2017.
The Awards, now in their fourteenth year, are run by the National Apprenticeship Service and recognise excellence in two areas: businesses that grow their own talent with apprentices and apprentices who have made a significant contribution to their workplaces.
On being recognised as highly commended, Bernard Verby, Chief Executive said:
“It is fantastic to be acknowledged at the National Apprenticeship Awards. Our apprentices are just as valuable as directors, as they are potentially our future directors. The impact of engaging in apprenticeships has seen a huge increase in staff members within the company, and a more youthful staff base brings fresh and modern ideas that can be transferred into not only the accounting world, but the office environment as a whole.
As a company we are very proud of our apprentice programme and highly committed to apprentices and this is embedded into our future plans to grow the business. We continue to aim to employ between four and six apprentices a year and to support them through to be fully qualified Accountants.”
Sue Husband, Director of the National Apprenticeship Service, said:
“The National Apprenticeship Awards allow talented apprentices and committed employers from across our regions to receive well-deserved recognition for their apprenticeship achievements.
“The highly commended finalists at these awards show the range of sectors and variety of job roles apprenticeships are available in, and how they can deliver the skills employers need. I congratulate all highly commended finalists on their success in this competition.”
