Regular visitors to The Forum Theatre might see some familiar faces when out and about in the borough as one of Belle Vue’s coaches received a makeover this week, rebranded to promote the work of Stockport’s all-inclusive theatre company NK Theatre Arts.
Based in Romiley, the charity offers regular workshops in Musical Theatre, Dance and Drama as well as housing a 370 seat auditorium used by many of Stockport’s community organisations.
The bus will primarily be used for schools and their trips during the day covering many routes across the borough.
NK Theatre Arts’ Company Manager, Darren Stannage said:
We are thrilled to have received this support from Belle Vue Bus & Coach Hire, it is a brilliant way to promote the activities we offer to the community and will really help raise our profile even further. It’s not only a brilliant way to promote our activities for children, which are still running throughout lockdown, but we offer such a varied artistic programme each year too. We can’t wait for the people of Stockport to be able to return to theatres safely and this gives us a wonderful chance to promote specific shows and events we are producing, be that a premier of a show or even a visit from Sir Ian McKellen. We love to prove that you don’t need to leave the borough to experience great live theatre and Belle Vue Bus & Coach Hire will help to spread the word”
Belle Vue Coaches MD, Phil Hitchen said:
When we see the beautiful work NK Theatre Arts do in their theatre, in schools and the community, we wanted to help contribute to promote this excellent work during these challenging times.”
