Stockport barber chain, Famous Henrys, has opened a location on 12th July in Bramhall, the chain’s fifth branch since its first barber’s shop opened in Cheadle Hulme in 2013.
The local barber chain now has expanded to branches in Cheadle Hulme, Hazel Grove and Wilmslow. Famous Henrys attribute their success and popularity with customers to being open seven days a week, and to complimentary extras offered to customers, including chilled beer, hot drinks and newspapers.
Head Barber Craig Jones said about the latest opening:
“We are so pleased to even have the chance to expand the business further. During the toughest year or so for most businesses due to the devastating effect of COVID-19 and all that lockdown entailed we were shut for a total of 34 weeks. But due to our wonderful loyal customers supporting us and choosing us for their hair cuts, that opening in Bramhall has even been a possibility. We are so excited to join the village and have been made to feel very welcome so far”
The move into a new store on Woodford Road, next to Barclays Bank in Bramhall, has also allowed the barber chain to restore an area housing the Mounting Stone. Craig Jones added:
“The Mounting stone is a part of Bramhall history, it was put there to commemorate the last Bramhall Smithy who retired, the site (people may not know) has actually been for centuries dedicated to the needs of the traveller, so we thought it would be a great idea to put benches outside for locals to sit on and enjoy the space and also tidy up the area surrounding the stone as it’s a historic local landmark.”
