As the last bank holiday of the year approaches, there are many activities taking place over August bank holiday in Stockport.

• Foodie Friday
Stockport Market Place- Friday 25 August
Foodie Friday is Stockport’s hugely popular street food event taking place between 6pm and 9pm at Stockport Market Place on the last Friday of every month.
• A Time to Play
Bramall Hall- Bank Holiday Monday 28 August – 11am- 4pm
Fun for all the family as we look at traditional toys and games from the last 1000 years! Try your hand at Latrunculi, diablo spinning, an egg and spoon race, shuffleboard and many more games from the past. Suitable for all ages, outdoor activities free (first come first served basis) Activities in the Hall, normal admission fee applies.
• Strawberry Studios I am in love exhibition
Stockport Museum Tue – Sat 10am – 5pm Sun & Bank Holiday 11am- 5pm
The exhibition celebrates Strawberry Studios and explores Stockport’s musical heritage via film, conversation, collections, graphics, and above all else, the music.
• Stockport’s summer reading challenge 2017-
Stockport libraries are calling for children in Stockport to sign up to the free and exciting Animal Agents themed summer reading challenge and read any six library books this summer. Children’s literacy skills traditionally dip over the summer holidays and the annual Summer Reading Challenge aims to address this by keeping 4-11 year olds reading over the summer.
Councillor Sheila Bailey, Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing said:
