B & M Bargains, the Liverpool-based discount retail group owned by three Cheshire brothers Simon, Bobby and Robin Arora and with a store at Great Portwood, Stockport, has been sold to US private equity house Clayton Dubilier & Rice (CD&R).
The new owners are planning international expansion for the group and B&M will continue to be managed by its existing management team while former Tesco chief executive Sir Terry Leahy, a senior adviser at CD&R, will serve as chairman.
