Platform81, the award winning digital marketing and creative agency, is marking its tenth birthday with 10 for 10, a series of events, community engagement projects and business led activities, including a brand new website, that celebrate the business, its team and its Stockport roots.
Founded in 2008 by directors Alec Middleton and Nick Wroe, Platform81 has grown from a team of two, to a team of 14 working across offices in Stockport and Bromsgrove delivering bespoke digital marketing strategies for the likes of GirlGuiding Stockport, the NHS, Aston Villa Football Club, Gymfinity Kids, Ski Angel and Stockport County Football Club. The agency was named ‘Business of the Year Under £1m’ at the Stockport Business Awards in 2016 and 2017 as well as ‘Small Digital Agency of the Year’ at the MPA Inspiration Awards 2017.
Nicknamed ‘10 for 10’, the birthday celebrations kicked off this week with the launch of a brand new website which has been designed, built and optimised by Platform81’s in-house web development and SEO teams. Showcasing many of the agency’s latest projects, the site has been produced to better represent the experience, talent, creativity and maturity of the company.
Alec Middleton, director at Platform81 said:
We are so proud to have reached this milestone and to have such a fantastic team working with us to take the business forward for the next ten years. We have big plans for 2018 which include expanding the team further and continuing to deliver above and beyond for all our clients.
“It’s the people that really make our agency and so it made sense that the plans for our tenth year should come from within. Each and every idea for the ‘10 for 10’ events has come from a different member of the team and we’re excited to bring them to life. Keep an eye on our social media channels or search for #10for10 for all the latest birthday related news!”
The next ’10 for 10’ announcement will see the Platform81 team reveal their chosen charity for 2018 – Kidscan, a children’s cancer research charity based in Salford. Having worked on a new website for the organisation, Platform81 has now pledged to raise £10k by the end of 2018 through a variety of weird and wonderful fundraising activities such as skydiving, endurance races and a fancy dress pub crawl!
