Stockport-based chartered accountancy practice Clarke Nicklin has won the coveted Financial and Professional Award at the Skills for Business Awards 2016.
The Skills for Business Awards is an annual event celebrating the outstanding commitment that businesses across Greater Manchester make to skills and learning.
The awards took place on 9th June at The Point, Lancashire County Cricket Club, and Clarke Nicklin beat off tough opposition to claim the prize in their category.
Andrew Baggott, Managing Partner, commented; “I am absolutely delighted with our Skills for Business Awards win, which comes in recognition of the training and development we continually undertake as a business. This is of utmost importance to us, so it’s a great thing to be acknowledged for, and a reflection of everybody’s efforts in this area.”
The award also recognises their close working relationship with iCount accountancy training partnership in Manchester; the firm were one of the first accountancy practices to put students through iCount’s chartered accountancy programme.
There were a total of 21 awards taken home on the night, across a variety of industries and sectors such as manufacturing, retail, creative and digital. There were also individual awards for apprentices of the year.
