Stockport Homes has been recognised at the prestigious Housing Excellence awards as best social landlord (medium sized) in the country. The winners were announced at a ceremony at the Lancashire County Cricket Club in Manchester on 14 May.
The Housing Excellence awards highlight and reward those who are leading the way in the social housing sector.
Stockport Homes was awarded the ‘Social Landlord of the Year (Medium)’ award for innovative practice in meeting its corporate aim to ‘transform lives’ and for its performance in managing its core services and supporting customers.
Roger Phillips, Chair of Stockport Homes’ Board said, “We are absolutely thrilled to have won this award. Everyone at Stockport Homes has been working hard to provide great homes and services for our customers, while at the same time building much needed new affordable homes, so this recognition means a great deal to us.”
Carl Wilde, Regional Director for the North West at Seddon, said, “We were delighted to have the opportunity to present this award to Stockport Homes. Seddon has supported the organisation on a number of development projects in recent years, and we have seen first-hand their commitment to providing quality homes and improving the lives of their customers.”
