Following a programme of refurbishment, the Arthur Greenwood community centre in Woodley, Stockport, has re-opened its doors.
The local community, community groups, staff, councillors and partners had the chance to see its new look after its re-launch last week.
The Mayor of Stockport officially opened the centre with a ribbon cutting.
The community centre is also home to the new Woodley Pantry, which opened its doors on Tuesday.
The centre had been under renovation for the past 6 months, with Threesixty and DASH working on the project.
Jenny Osbourne, Chair of the Board at Stockport Homes says,
“What an amazing transformation, well done to everyone who has been involved. This is going to be a great community centre for years to come.”
Mayor of Stockport, Laura Booth added:
“What a fantastic event, celebrating this great community centre, where the local community can get together. Well done to everyone involved.”
