With the second round of applications now closed, Stockport Council have reported that the number of applications received for the Stockport Local Fund once again exceeded expectations.
Stockport Council would like to thank everyone who applied to Stockport Local Fund, attended the workshops and signed up for regular updates about the fund.
Councillor Elise Wilson, Cabinet Member for Reform and Governance at Stockport Council said:
“We’ve received some wonderful applications that demonstrate just how many people have fantastic ideas for community activities and projects.
“This fund is part of our wider Stockport Local ambition to help people to join together and make our neighbourhoods even better places to live in. I strongly encourage you to get involved with your community in whatever way you can. Stockport Council are now going through the selection process and will be contacting groups to let them know the outcome of their application and what the next steps are within 4 weeks.
