The Association of Greater Manchester Authorities, AGMA, and Stockport Council are inviting residents to register with’ AGMA Energy Switch’ to see if they can save money on energy costs.
The Energy Switch scheme brings together a number of people who want to switch providers into one ‘auction’. Energy providers then bid for their business by offering the best available prices.
The more people that join the collective scheme, the better the deal for everybody. The first auction takes place on 29 January 2013 and is open to everyone, even if you don’t live in Greater Manchester.
Stockport Council is organising a switching session to help residents who don’t have internet access, or would like further advice and information, to take part in the auction. All you have to do is find out the name of your current energy supplier and tariff, and bring along a recent energy bill or energy annual statement.
