SEMMMS has now entered into the second phase of consultation for the A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road scheme and this will run until 19th July 2013.
The purpose of this phase of consultation is to provide feedback from the Phase 1 consultation, which took place between 22nd October 2012 and 25th January 2013, and seek comments on the emerging preferred scheme.
During the Phase 1 consultation SEMMMS asked for asked for the public views on the overall scheme, general comments about the scheme and more specific comments on different junction options along the proposed route.
The feedback we received in the Phase 1 consultation has been considered by Stockport, Cheshire East and Manchester City Councils to enable the emerging preferred scheme to be developed.
A Phase 2 Consultation Leaflet has now been issued that provides some feedback from the Phase 1 consultation and summary information on the emerging preferred scheme.
A 3D Visualisation of the proposed A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road has been produced.
The 3D Visualisation provides an artistic impression of how the scheme could look.
A number of the junctions have options that were consulted upon as part of the first phase of consultation (22nd October 2012 – 25th January 2013) therefore this flythrough and the 3D Visualisation will be modified to reflect the preferred scheme when approved by the three Councils.
