Main sponsors and organisers, Clarke Nicklin Chartered Accountants, have officially launched the 2018 Stockport Business Awards.
Clarke Nicklin hosted the event at The Light Cinema, Stockport’s newest and brightest 10 screen facility at Redrock in the town centre.
Many people attended the launch and were treated to a screening of highlights from last year’s awards dinner, hosted by Jenny Powell in the grand ballroom of the iconic Stockport Town Hall.
The screening was followed by drinks and canapes provided by street food specialist Oh My Glaze, and the opportunity to network with over 40 businesses from the Stockport area.
The 12 categories for the 2018 Stockport Business Awards were announced that include:

- Business of the Year (£1-5m)
- Business of the Year (up to £1m)
- Most Promising Young Business
- Employer of the Year
- Business Person of the Year
- International Business of the Year
- Best Not-for-Profit Organisation
- The Innovation Award
- Best Creative/Design Agency
- Excellence in CSR
- Best Food & Drink Retailer
Entries open on Tuesday 3rd April.

Last year’s winners included Platform 81 who picked up two awards, SAS Daniels, Woodbank Office Solutions, Rowwlinson Knitwear, Millie’s Trust and Together who impressed the judges with their innovative approach to CSR following the launch of ‘Let’s make it Count’.
