We care for and champion the rights, needs and ambitions of care-experienced children and people with disabilities, autism, and mental health differences.
Every year we support thousands of children, young people and adults to lead happy, fulfilled lives.

We began our work all the way back in 1870, when our charity was set up to care for vulnerable children in need of support across the Manchester and Salford areas. Back then, we were known as the Manchester and Salford Boys’ and Girls’ Refuges and Homes.
Over 150 years later, we’ve expanded and shaped our services to fit the people we work with. Across over 40 services in the Northwest, we now deliver individual care, support and education services for thousands of disabled, neurodivergent, and care-experienced people each year.
Our services include:
•?????Specialist education
•?????Caring homes
•?????Community support (community hubs, supported living
•???? Therapy and support
•?????Fostering
•?????SENDIASS and Mediation
•?????Short breaks
•?????Campaigning
