Creative Homewares and Gifts
Kitsch Republic was born from a desire to buy fun and functional products to brighten up my own home. Starting out in 2012 at Stockport’s very own Vintage Village, with a love for mid-century bright designs I traded at these markets for several years with vintage homewares and also cushions and lampshades I had made myself.
From this original start, the business quickly evolved from a hobby in mid-century vintage, to creating and making a wide range of homewares and gifts after I was gifted a heat press which opened so many doors to my creativity.
Over a decade later since those first local markets, Kitsch Republic is a micro manufacturer of high quality homewares, where we specialise in printing fabric in our Stockport workshop and making sensational lampshades and cushions featuring our own fabulous and creative designs!
We also print and manufacturer high quality coasters, worktop savers and cushions for lots of artists, especially in the Stockport area.
Our love of Mancunian Nostalgia is strong in our products, an obsession with all things Mancunian, especially around music, TV and transport – and are some of our best selling products.
We love to try new ideas and designs, and welcome commissions if there is a lampshade or cushion you would really love but have never been able to find get in touch!
