Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is highlighting the benefits of travelling sustainably as part of their Get On Board campaign.
The campaign is promoting all modes of sustainable travel, from walking, cycling and wheeling, to catching the bus or the tram.
Choosing to walk, wheel or cycle, or to catch the bus or tram, has proven health benefits, and TfGM is also seeking to raise awareness of the range of ticket offers now available on buses and trams that can save passengers money too.
Whether you’re travelling for leisure or the commute, TfGM is here to help with the cost-of-living crisis and the impact of car journeys on the environment, by encouraging residents, visitors and commuters to take advantage of lower bus fares, Metrolink’s flexible travel options such as the new Bee AnyBus + Tram ticket range, and the city-region’s expanding active travel network.
As part of the Get on Board campaign, businesses are receiving support to encourage their workforce and customers to use public transport and active travel to help shape the future of the Bee Network. TfGM’s interactive online business portal acts as a ‘one stop shop’ for firms looking to make affordable and sustainable travel choices, support the wider economy, and help Greater Manchester towards its ambitious target of becoming carbon neutral by 2038.
