DESCRIPTION:Imagine greeting a Deaf customer or colleague with a simple hello\, in BSL.  That small gesture can make someone feel welcome\, included\, and understood. \nVenue@Cornerstone is hosting a Deaf Awareness workshop with Lorri Wilson on Friday\, 21st November 2025\, 9.30am – 2.00pm.  This engaging session will give you and your team the skills and confidence to communicate more effectively with Deaf and hard of hearing people\, whether in customer facing roles\, education\, healthcare\, or community services. \nWhat to expect: \n\nA fun\, interactive session with practical guidance and activities\nLearn and practice key British Sign Language (BSL) signs\nGain insights into Deaf awareness and everyday inclusion\nRefreshments and a light lunch provided\n\nWho Should Attend: \nIdeal for professionals and organisations including: \n\nSchools and educational staff\nLocal councils\, libraries\, courts\, and public services\nRetail\, construction\, transport\, and banking sectors\nHealthcare providers (NHS\, Bupa\, hospitals\, doctors\, nurses)\nSports organisations\nEmergency services: police\, ambulance\, fire brigade\n\nCost:  £30 per person (excluding VAT) \nSpaces are limited to reserve simply email me. \nPayment can be made by BACS on receipt of invoice. \nIf you are interested\, but unable to make this date\, please do let us know and we can let you know when we run our next workshop. \nLet’s make inclusion part of everyday life\, one small sign at a time. \nEasy Booking: \nSpaces are limited.
