The biggest annual awards evening for education in Stockport is about to happen in Stockport as graduates of the town’s University Centre and their families come together in Stockport Town Hall to celebrate their achievements in a ceremony that has become the town’s annual blue ribbon evening.

The event celebrates the success of the University Centre students and all that they have achieved and Stockport College’s University Centre staff would like to invite the local business community to attend their graduation ceremony taking place on Tuesday 13th October.
Tina Sproson, Dean of Higher Education, is keen to encourage the town’s business owners to attend, to meet the students and see first-hand the breadth of talent and skills that is being produced on our door-step:
“This is an opportunity for us to share the success of the University Centre; I am pleased to invite you to join us in the celebrations which include a guest reception for the College’s key stakeholders from 6.15pm in Meeting Room 3 where drinks and canapés will be served. Following the reception you will join the graduates and their guests for the main ceremony which will take place in the Ballroom of the Town Hall.”
The ceremony begins at 7pm and should finish no later than 9pm. The ballroom bar will be open at the end of the evening for everyone attending when there will be an opportunity for you to meet the graduates and their guests.
If you would like to attend or require any further information please contact Sue Haywood, Quality Standards Officer, Higher Education on 0161 296 6059 or email sue.haywood@stockport.ac.uk by Friday 25th September.
